How to Connect a Windows 7 Computer with your FRITZ!Box via WLAN

With the Windows 7 Configuration Wizard it is now even easier to join a WLAN radio network. Here we describe how to establish a wireless connection between Windows 7 and your FRITZ!Box with just a few clicks of the mouse:
  1. Click the WLAN icon W7_WLAN_Tray in the notification area of the task bar.
    A window opens in which all of the WLAN radio networks at your location are displayed.

  2. Click on the name of the WLAN radio network (SSID) of your FRITZ!Box (e.g. "FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270").
  3. In the "Security Key" window that opens next, enter the WLAN key of your FRITZ!Box and then click "OK".
    NOTE:
    Upon delivery (factory settings) the WLAN key is set to the value printed on the sticker on the base of the FRITZ!Box.

  4. In the "Network Location" window that opens, select one of the suggested locations.
    NOTE:
    Select the "home network" location if you want to make files and printers available to other Windows 7 computers in the FRITZ!Box network.
Now the WLAN connection will be established and you can establish Internet connections and access all of the services of the FRITZ!Box from your Windows 7 computer.
