AVM at CeBIT 2010 – Hall 13, C48

AVM, the Berlin communication specialist, will unveil its new FRITZ!Box models and many new innovations at the CeBIT 2010. The new FRITZ!Box WLAN 3370, the first device in its performance class, relies on the latest generation of WLAN N standards. Data transfer rates are increased to up to 450 Mbit/s and WLAN coverage is significantly greater. The FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 6360 will also be premiered – AVM will roll out its FRITZ!Box with integrated cable modem for Internet access via cable TV. Another new product at Cebit is FRITZ!App, enabling the use of smart phones with the FRITZ!Box. AVM will also show off many new innovations for DSL, network, WLAN and DECT wireless at its stand, C48 in Hall 13.

As the first device in its performance class, the new FRITZ!Box 3370 relies on the latest generation of WLAN N standards. Data transfer rates are increased to up to 450 Mbit/s and WLAN coverage is significantly greater. At the same time, a whole range of technical innovations has made data transfer considerably more robust, especially when traffic is heavy. In conjunction with the integrated VDSL/ADSL modem and four gigabit Ethernet connections, the FRITZ!Box is the ideal platform for handling complex applications such as multiple HD videos, HD IPTV or games all at the same time.

AVM will debut its FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 6360 for cable connections at the CeBIT 2010. The integrated cable modem already supports the anticipated Euro Docsis 3 standard with speeds of more than 100 Mbit/s. The standard, with its cross-version compatibility, means that the box is in sync with earlier cable connections (Docsis 2). The new FRITZ!Box 6360 comes equipped with all of the convenient functions offered by the top-of-the-line AVM models. High-speed WLAN N, four gigabit Ethernet connections and a USB 2.0 port guarantee the best possible network connections. Its extensive features are enhanced by the connection options for cordless phones (DECT/CAT-iq) and the integrated telephone system (Internet/fixed-line).

CeBIT 2010: AVM FRITZ!App for smart phones

AVM, the FRITZ!Box manufacturer, will be premiering an application for smart phones at the CeBIT 2010. The beauty of the FRITZ!App software is that iPhones or mobile phones with the Android operating system can be used at home for fixed-line and DSL communication. All you have to do is connect your mobile phone to the FRITZ!Box via WLAN. Once you're connected, you can use your phone for fixed-line calls and take advantage of other FRITZ!Box functions, such as the telephone book, answering machine or call list. AVM premieres a new FRITZ!Box generation at the Broadband World Forum 2009 in Paris. The FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7390 offers innovative Internet, telephone, multimedia and network solutions, thus making it ideally suited to broadband applications such as video streaming or IPTV as well. FRITZ!Box 7390 is the perfect solution for fast Internet connections of up to 100 megabytes per second. VDSL2, ADSL2+, WLAN N, DECT-CAT-iq, gigabit and network storage means that for the first time, all functions vital for communication are combined in one single device. AVM now incorporates the new Internet protocol IPv6, proving once again that FRITZ! products are future proof.
