AVM employs data networks that are protected by firewalls. There is, however, no encryption of data during transfer.

In order to optimise the layout of our website, we employ session IDs in certain areas of the website, such as the support pages. With the help of session IDs we can identify several interrelated inquiries made by one user. Session IDs are comparable to so-called cookies; they are small files that are stored on your hard drive. Unlike cookies, however, session IDs are destroyed automatically, at the very latest when you close your browser.

You can, of course, view our website without session IDs. The help function in the menu bar of most web browsers will explain the settings that you need to perform to reject session IDs. If you do not use session IDs, it may result in our website offering limited functionality.

In addition, each access request made to our web server is logged anonymously (in other words, without any personal reference). We use such anonymous data exclusively for statistical purposes.
