AVM debuted its FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 6360 for cable connections at the CeBIT 2010. The new FRITZ!Box comes equipped with all of the convenient functions offered by the top-of-the-line AVM models. High-speed WLAN N, four gigabit Ethernet connections and a USB 2.0 port guarantee the best possible network connections. Its extensive features are enhanced by the connection options for cordless phones (DECT/GAP) and the integrated telephone system (Internet/fixed-line). Integrated telephone system and DECT base station
The FRITZBox 6360 is equipped with a VoIP telephone system (SIP, RFC 3261) that offers connection options for two analog telephones and an ISDN phone (or an ISDN telephone system). The integrated DECT base station offers cordless convenience with up to six mobile components. FRITZ!Box 6360 Cable aösp supports HD telephony via DECT. And thanks to the DECT Eco Mode, it is able to significantly reduce field strength. FRITZ!Box integrated bandwidth management (Quality of Service) enables parallel applications such as Internet telephony and HD video streaming. The key features familiar from ISDN including call routing, call waiting, call diversion and three-way conferences are also available just as they are from a fixed-line network.
Fast WLAN N and gigabit Ethernet
The new FRITZ!Box 7390 makes high-speed WLAN N connections of up to 300 Mbit/s possible in either the 2.4-GHz or 5-GHz band. WLAN is secure straight out of the box with the FRITZ!Box thanks to its pre-activated WPA/WPA2 encryption. WMM (Wi-Fi multimedia) ensures optimum wireless transmission of voice, data and multimedia and simultaneous transmission of multiple streaming applications. FRITZ!Box supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), making it a cinch to connect WLAN devices easily and securely to the FRITZ!Box. WLAN can be switched on and off using sleep mode or manually using a push button. WLAN Eco Mode also optimizes the power output even when the device is in use.
Multimedia and NAS functionality
With the integrated NAS functionality (Network Attached Storage), the new FRITZ!Box, together with an external USB storage device, makes photos, music, videos and other files available right across the network. USB storage devices, printers and other devices are connected via USB 2.0 and can be accessed in the home network via print and media servers – even when the computer is switched off. Various options are available for connecting network storage (Windows Network/SMB, FTP, UPnP, WebDAV). With the FRITZ!Box user interface, operation and management of network storage and other functions is simple and straightforward.
