At this year's IFA consumer electronics trade show the Federal Environment Office is exhibiting the FRITZ!Box 7270 example for energy efficiency.

A good choice! After all, owners of the FRITZ!Box 7270 benefit from many advantages that have to do with energy efficiency. For instance, the wireless radio network can be switched on and off by simply pressing a button on the housing or connected telephones.

The integrated Eco mode even automatically reduces the DECT field strength and the device's power consumption. The average power input is only six to eight watts.

The New Firmware Improves the Energy-Saving Functions of the FRITZ!Box

The upcoming firmware update will improve the energy-saving functions of the FRITZ!Box 7270 even further. In the new version power consumption will be displayed conveniently on the home page of the FRITZ!Box user interface, which users can access by simply entering "fritz.box" in their browser.

What is more, in the future the WLAN night service will be easier to adapt to your own needs – for instance, different settings can be configured for weekdays and weekends. It will also be possible to set multiple intervals during which the wireless network is turned off automatically each day.
