Serie: FRITZ!OS – neue Funktionen für Ihre FRITZ!Box

The FRITZ!OS series – new features for your FRITZ!Box

Part 2: overview of home network and improved help feature

We’re dedicating the second part of our series on the new features of FRITZ!OS to another practical innovation: the enhanced overview of the home network as well as the improved help feature. Find out about the new possibilities you’ll get once you update your FRITZ!Box.

Overview of home network and improved help feature

FRITZ!OS, the new firmware, has polished the help feature. This now features a full-text search and, what’s more, provides you with a useful keyword index and its own navigation system for locating topics.

The user interface, via which you can choose to adopt a wide range of settings, has also been made clearer. Here, you’ll be able to see all the active users and guests using the home network – all in one place. Every device within the home network that can be accessed via http can be controlled right here, with just one click.

In the network overview, you’ll now be able to see all the devices that are online at any one time, along with the key details. Whether you’re using a PC, notebook, games console, TV, repeater, Internet radio, Powerline adapter or smartphone, all the devices will be clearly itemized, and information such as IP addresses and data throughput rates will appear beside them. Entries can be edited or removed from the list with great ease in just the way you’d expect from the user interface.
