64-bit drivers for active controllers available in a beta release

AVM now provides the first 64-bit CAPI drivers for the new AMD64 platform for its active ISDN-Controllers. The driver software is currently available for downloading free of charge. This initial release is a beta version, for which AVM does not provide Support service.

Microsoft's two new 64-bit operating systems are likewise in the beta development phase. With the new AVM drivers, Microsoft's "Windows XP for 64-Bit Extended Systems" for desktop use and "Windows Server 2003 for 64-Bit Extended Systems" can now use the active AVM ISDN-Controller B1 PCI v4.0, C2 and C4 for native 64-bit ISDN communication. The driver software supports existing 32-bit as well as new 64-bit CAPI applications. The driver setup also automatically installs a 64-bit AVM CoNDIS WAN Driver for Internet access and Remote Access Service.

64-bit driver support for the same ISDN-Controllers in Linux is also available in the "SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8 for AMD64" system.

More detailed information can be found in the Readme files supplied with the driver software.
