AVM 2007: More Broadband, More VoIP, More Multimedia

This year, AVM's innovative new products are all about broadband, VoIP and multimedia. The FRITZ!Box family is premiering its new flagship, FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270. Thanks to its wide range of features the new FRITZ!Box is now more than ever your central data hub for home Internet access. The new FRITZ!Box enables a previously unknown wide range of options: broadband access via ADSL, ADSL2+ and VDSL, and operation of cordless telephones using DECT. The new 11n wireless standard, also in use for the first time, offers optimum transmission of data, speech and HD video in combination with MIMO multiple antenna technology.

AVM will also introduce its new FRITZ!Fon 5130. FRITZ!Fon 5130 is an inexpensive starter model that combines a DECT cordless telephone with an ADSL modem and network router. Connecting FRITZ!Fon couldn’t be easier. In most cases, you only need to plug in a single cable, and the phone and your PC are ready to go. The new eco mode also provides advantages for wireless and DECT use. And when the handset is in the recharger cradle, the DECT output power conveniently drops to zero.

AVM’s new FRITZ! Mini and FRITZ! Media combine a broadband connection with music, video and photo playback and display. FRITZ! Mini plays a special role in this relationship. It is the first in a new class of wireless devices, offering a telephone, a music player and Internet in a single handheld device.
