The FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick N 2.4 supports the WLAN N standard in the 2.4-GHz frequency band and provides a fast wireless Internet connection with a transfer rate of up to 150 megabits per second. In addition to WLAN N, the WLAN stick is also compatible with the g and b standards.
Easy installation and an automatically secure WLAN connection
The FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick N 2.4 offers the easy installation AVM is known for and it automatically establishes a secure WLAN connection. Interaction with the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270 is particularly ideal. The Stick & Surf technology developed by AVM makes it easy and convenient to automatically establish a secure WLAN connection. The FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick N is simply plugged into the USB port of the FRITZ!Box. This transfers all of the necessary settings from the FRITZ!Box to the FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick N. The stick is then inserted into a PC or notebook where it automatically installs and then establishes a secure WLAN connection. No driver CD is necessary if the Windows XP (Service Pack 2), Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating system is in use.
Another option for installing the FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick N 2.4 is WPS (WiFi Protected Setup). With WPS, it is easy to set up a secure WLAN connection with the press of a button. The FRITZ!WLAN USB Stick N 2.4 supports the WPA2 security standard and thus offers maximum WLAN security.
