AVM is now offering new firmware with many exciting new features for the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270: it is even more user-friendly and has an integrated online monitor that displays an overview of the status of your Internet connection. Free new telephony and security functions
One of the best things about buying a FRITZ! product is not only that it is continuously enhanced with updates, new functions are also added on a regular basis. One recent innovation is a function geared toward people who make frequent use of their answering machines. It automatically deletes answering machine messages once they have been automatically forwarded by e-mail.
When it comes to security, AVM also keeps you up to speed. The enhanced length of passwords for network storage (NAS), for instance, increases the access security. There are now 32 characters available instead of 8.
USB: faster USB data transfer
If you own one of the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7270 models, the update will give you access to many new practical improvements for your FRITZ!Box. For instance, when accessing either USB storage connected to the FRITZ!Box or online storage, transmission speed is much faster. And, another handy feature: if a USB storage is connected to the FRITZ!Box, the amount of storage space left on the device is displayed automatically.
Easy-to-read online monitor and enhanced user friendliness
The new firmware makes operating the FRITZ!Box even easier than before with the enhanced FRITZ!Box user interface. Navigation is much easier especially in terms of WLAN settings. A clearly arranged online monitor has now also been integrated into the user interface. It provides an overview of the status of your Internet connection under a menu item and shows the connection status and how much capacity is currently being used. It even has a time and volume counter.
