What is the maximum wireless range of FRITZ!Box?

FRITZ!Box has transmitter power of about 100 mW. This is the maximum power specified in the WLAN standard. However, it is impossible to state the maximum wireless range of FRITZ!Box, since the attainable range depends on the environment in which the device is operated, including such factors as:

• The transmitter power of the communicating WLAN adapter
• Building properties (wall thickness, concrete reinforcement, steel construction elements)
• Interference by other electrical and electronic devices that emit electromagnetic radiation in the same frequency band (the ISM band). The frequency range in the ISM band used for WLAN, 2.4 GHz, is also used by medical instruments, garage door openers, remote controls, and microwave ovens.
